Developmental milestones for communication: 2 years old
I’ve made a quick look resource for those of you wanting to know if you should have any concerns about your child’s communication development.
The listed skills are foundational for speech, receptive language, expressive language and social skills.
These are the skills MOST (not all) children will have developed by the time they are 2 years old.
It is important to note that developmental progress is dependent of a range of factors. These include:
biological influences (eg inherited characteristics, antenatal and perinatal history, general health, vision and hearing.
environmental influences, (eg education, parenting, economic variation, experience and encouragement).
